My photographic practice engages the notions of human emotion, identity, culture and existence, among other themes, through the exploration of the visual and social character of cities and places. Over time, I have experimented with different forms and expressions, continually seeking new visual language and ways to further the scope of my vision. I have, however, been consistent in employing a highly personal (and often vulnerable) approach by chiefly using my own body as a conceptual device. My work has constructed visual narratives of emotional and physical space – chronicling experiences, feelings and notions alongside the economic, aesthetic, social and political dimensions of places of personal importance to me.
